Gabbie Cetrulo Story

September 24, 2019 was the best day of my life-my wedding day. There are so many elements that made that day the best day ever. My husband, Josh, and I dated for several years, and I knew from the moment we met that he was the one I wanted to spend forever with. On our wedding day, I was the calmest and happiest I've ever been.
Our wedding took place in Siena, Italy at a 17th century villa where all of our friends and family were able to stay and witness the start of our marriage. I wanted my dress to encapsulate all the beauty and elegance of the villa and Italy. With the help of my mom and sister, we were able to find the perfect dress. It was strapless with an hourglass shape. The underlayer of the dress was more of an off-white or taupe color and the top layer had beautiful white lace and a subtle scattering of sequence. The train- made with tule and lace, flowed outward and added an extra layer of elegance. The ceremony and dinner all took place outside.
To get to the ceremony, guests walked through a beautiful, structured maze garden that met a row of lemon trees and a grass filled lawn that overlooked Siena. I remember walking through that maze with my dad, feeling so excited to see Josh, standing at the end of the aisle. As soon as I turned the corner and locked eyes with him, I didn’t notice or think about anything else. All I ever wanted was standing in front of me and nothing else mattered. I’ll never forget that feeling. After we exchanged vows, said “I do” and exited the ceremony, we were able to take in all of the details- the décor, food, lights, music, temperature, smiling faces of our loved ones- it was surreal. We enjoyed the best meal we have ever had, watched as the pastry chefs assembled the traditional Italian wedding cake in front of the our family and friends, and then had a dance party in the cave room at the villa. Our wedding day and entire weekend was one that I wish we could just re-live every single day. Thankfully, our pictures, videos, and my dress will help these feelings and memories last a lifetime.
